Inspired by the way South Africans embrace presence, rhythm, and connection, this story explores movement not as urgency but as intention.
Bodies, fabric, light, and ocean tides repeat in quiet loops, reminding us that beauty lives in the moments we choose to stay in a little longer. Nothing here is frozen. Everything breathes, shifts, returns.
This editorial is about finding freedom in presence. About resisting the pressure to constantly move forward, and instead appreciating the power of being fully inside a moment before it disappears.

Karlijn Tiebot, 1995 The Netherlands
Through photography and film, I translate real places into quiet, cinematic atmospheres. I am drawn to spaces where nothing seems to happen, yet everything can be felt. Rather than capturing moments, I compose atmosphere and memory - using light, composition, and distance to slow time down and reveal what is often overlooked. My work explores belonging as something fleeting, formed through movement, absence, and observation. I capture to understand what remains when everything else fades.

As a stylist, art director and graphic designer, I move fluidly between fashion and beauty, building bold, colorful visual worlds that are as untamed as my curiosity. My work is eclectic: a rich mix of prints, textures and references, inspired by travel and my fascination with African colors and patterns, colliding into something unexpected. Driven by instinct,
I create images unafraid to stand out - playful, daring and always rooted in story.
